there is another one near us in november, not sure if that is too soon? maybe wait til arly next year and then i can really improve my time, or find a 5k? I def think i would like to do another one! Althought right now i feel i need a week to recover!

I have managed to raise about £300 for cancer research too which is such a great feeling as i have had so many friends and family affected by cancer as well as my mum who died 10 years ago so its such a good feeling to know i have helped!

Hello everyone!!!!

Ive not been on here in ages!! I haven't really been keeping up with the running training very well, done a bit but not as much as i hoped.

Yesturday i ran the 10k race. It was sooooooo hot, i was sweating before i started. We were worned at the begining that the course was extra hilly as they had to make last minute changes to the route! Well they werent lying, Most of the race was uphill and from the 5K mark to the 7K it was straight up a huge hill, i thought my legs were going to drop off!!

Anyway i made it, and crossed the line in about 1 hours 18minutes!!! Very pleased with that and can honestly say i couldnt of done anymore, pushed myself to the limit, i hit the wall and somehow kept going!

I ache a lot today, my legs kill, and i have a sore back and blisters on my feet, but i feel good for doing it, and want to do another one!!

Hope everyone is doing ok, thanks for everyones advice and encouragment early on in my training, must appriciated!!!

 LJ x
