Soreness was orignially in the hip/ buttock area, quite specific to one area on both sides. Since I started trying to excercise again pains have been firing round all over the hip area and into the groin.
It's been suggested to me that the problem originates in my back, but the sports doc could find nothing majorly wrong with my back. He was convinced the twisted pelvis was the cause of all my problems and that fixing that would fix me. So I am kinda dissapointed it hasn't.
I have recently taken up Pilates too. Its good to know you made it back to running after 7.5 years, seems there is some hope....
Hips get really sore whenever I try to do anything out of the ordinary, i.e. run, hill walk, cycle, use cross trainer........... in other words I am stuck being able to do nothing apart from swim.
I've exhausted every physio in my area and now a specialist sports doc and nobody seems to be able to find anything wrong, apart from a twisted pelvis which doc seems to think he has fixed. But pain is still there whenever I try to do anything, which he is totally baffled by.
X-Rays of hips clear, blood tests all normal.
Totally at a loss as to what to do next!? Any suggestions no matter how ludicrous are welcome.
Sorry thanks also fikalina. I'm not sure if its more than soreness or normal. Feels tender and bruised. Going back to the physio on Monday and attempting a short paddle on Sunday. Hoping for a miraculous recovery.
Thanks Siance. Fingers crossed for the trip. It seems to be at about the point where thoracic changes to lumbar so makes sense. She was just checking it when it went crack. If its fixed me I'll accept the pain
