Nene Valley Harriers are never fast at getting the results up Pam. I didn't even get a time for this race last years as they missed out a number of runners times last year.
I agree with what has been said regarding the £48 entry fee. It is expensive, however, no one is forcing you to run in the race so if you don't wish to pay the entry free then don't run. It's as simple as that. I will be running again, purely because I love the race, love the atmosphere and I make a weekend of it. Just booked my room in South Shields. Yay!
Regarding the ballot. I have entered in this four times and was successful twice so I guess you can argue that the success rate is 50%. I am sure it isn't in reality but it has been for me . I've signed up for 3 years, so this is my second of three.
Sounds like lots of people getting injuries at the moment. After GNR this year I've had problem with my achilles on my right leg and so I am off for some physio tomorrow. I want to do Great Eastern in Peterborough and was hoping for a PB after a great time in GNR.
