Thanks heather. I am coping with the loss of bath halt relatively well...morning for the spa and madam butterfly in the afternoon gotta love living in London. Ahh...the hip...went out, got drunk, fell on stairs, felt stiff but ran 10km to work 3 days later...couldn't lift leg 30min after finishing run. Bursitis that just hasn't come right. All my own fault...great night out though.
Hey all, I've once again been lurking but not posting. To all that are feeling tired and a bit over this marathon training thing. As everyone else has put more eloquently it's completely normal and hold on in there!!!!! Keep the kms going, be careful of the niggles, get lots of sleep and eat healthy. You're in the last "6miles" of your plan dig in and get to the taper. when it gets tough just think of the big mob behind you from here willing you on.
as for me...well, it's kinda the reason why I haven't been participating in the forum as much as usual. I am still well and truly on the injury bench. I got one 20kmer in and got all enthusiastic so stupidly entered the bath half for this sunday. Luckily a lovely forumites husband has taken my place (don't want to say who as it's not a legal transfer but huge thanks to them for bailing me out of my stupidity). So today I've had my second injection in hip (ultra sound guided fancy stuff that I watched on the screen) and been instructed not to do anything until wed at earliest. Then my knee is playing up because of the chance on gait from hip...basically I'm a mess. So it's very doubtful I'll be run/walking even in paris BUT I have a flag pole, it's eurostar compliant and I will definitely be coming to support!!!! The next few weeks will decide whether I toodle around but if anyone has supporters that would like a bit of a guide on the big day let me know and if I don't run then tgey are most welcome to join me and my pole (not yer majs husband, he's a different type of pole )
