Evening Tom,

VO2Max, its out there some where. It'll be a lot of hard work to get it back and I'm not sure I want to put my body through all that stress now. So casual running for me, loads of stopping and admiring the views. If its wet of windy well.... I might just stay indoors.

Hapy running.

De-lurks

Great efforts from BR, Gobi and Chouette

Message for Scooby re achillies. Keep doing the squats!!!! Do them with up to half your body weight supported on your shoulders, 40/60 am, 40/60 pm. Why? If your achillies is like mine then it may not get better unless you go under the knife. So strenghten the other bits. My achillies still gives me jip but my other bits are very strong now so I run quite well. If I ever get my VO2Max back to what it was two years ago I could be a decent Vet 50.

Me, if I do 30 MPW thats a high mileage week. I'm spending lots more time coaching than I am running

Take care all.

Evening,

More hearty well dones to FLM racers -

MikeB, seriously fast racing - and a superb PB

Night Nurse, a very well controleled race and an excellent time.

Hippo, congratulations in taking a massive lump out of your marathon time.

Ultra AJH, great running, great PB, great stuff

Sharkie, it was a UKA course run by Clive Brewer (from Scottish Athletics) and assisted by Dave Smithers (a man mountain and a member the the British bob sleigh team). The 2 days were fantastic and took us through the theroy and trained us in all the lifts that we will ever need. An outstanding course. Need to get me an olympic bar and do some lifting  .

Training,

What: 4 miles easy

Why: I ache from the last two days

Good evening,

NZC, congrats on the 1st placing in your race catagory, terrific that you put your rival behind you..

Rundown, very sorry to hear that your race fell short of expectations

Hollywood, very well run

Blisters, that looks like a major achievement, very well run indeed

RFJ, very well done, running from the heart.

Me, I've been on a 2 day course for Strength & Conditioning. 3 hours weight lifting yesterday and 3 hours weight lifting today plus a heap load of theroy. Mental edcuation has never been so tough - I am cream crackered.

Must keep an eye out fro reports from Wardi and Blisters.
