Well done in London everyone. I ran my slowest marathon ever, but one of the funnest. I kind of went from running more than 50 miles a week (a walk in the park for most of you Wanna Blistas I know) to running fewer than 50 miles a month. Really I should just leave the group now. Been nice knowing you.
Really glad to hear everyone here is okay after Boston. Terrible tragedy. Matt at the Stockport Express has been in touch to ask if J8, FOAR and BB woulf like to comment on what happened and your experiences. Entirely up to you - his no is 0161 211 2947 if you'd like to get in touch, thanks.
CC - get your BS entry in, I'd like you as my running partner please, and you have loads of time to train.
Well done on all the great Grindleford performances yesterday. I did it as a walk/run, listened to the radio on the way round, chatted to some lovely people, stopped for coffee and cake, and loved every minute.
Has anyone done the Leaden Boot? One of my Grindleford chats on the way round was with a 70-yr old with a hip replacement who was raving about it.
Thank you Mort and CC for reinstating me on the marathon target times list that GBM dropped me from.
Running shoes I do try and rotate and tend to keep the newer pair for mostly road runs and the pair on their way out for mostly trail runs. I have trail shoes but hardly ever wear them. When I started running I had a lot of knee pain which has never returned since I started wearing Mizuno stability shoes so I am too scared to try anything else.
Work is taking over my life again and I am not sleeping or running much and feeling very slobby and stressed out. Aaaarrrgh!
