Please help, I am a bit lost in a sea of treadmills. I don't manage to get out on the road much due to kids and work so if I have a treadmill I can run even when I'm stuck in the house. I don't have a huge budget, £500 but would like something sturdy as I'm 13 stone. It would be lovely if it folds up. I don't need losts of features bog standard will do. Any suggestions?
I've only done 2 Race for Life 5k's and one 10k (came last)! The buzz on each one has been great and it is great to have something to train for. The only problem is with race nerves is race tummy.... I know a lot of runners of all levels have it bad, doesn't stop you running though and after each race I've signed up for the next one!
Hi Diane and welcome, great to have more newbies, don't know if you've read the previous posts but if we dissappear after 1001 look for us under newbies 2!
Lisa, how do you measure your run when you are out? Remember that a run measured electronically in the gym is very precise, you might find that you are actually running more out on the road! If you use a pedometer thingy they aren't 100% accurate it may need calibrating... don't be too frustrated at least you're running!
Hi Mark, Just got an elasticated ankle support from sports world £1.99, will see how that goes, am going to go out for a walk tomorrow and see how it feels, still a bit of swelling but I'm doing RICE so it is improving slowly, thanks for the advice, and thanks everyone for all the sympathy, it really does help
