I've strained knee ligaments on a couple of occasions and all was well after 6-9 weeks. Depends on the severity of the strain and your activity levels during the recovery period. Put your feet up and rest - that's the best cure.
Due to over exertion I've developed a mild knee ligament strain. It kicks in around 10 miles and 5 to 10 miles later I'm feeling uncomfortable; not limping but my knee is tender and I'm knocked off my stride. I know ibuprofen and other pills provide a quick "cure", as will rest - however, I've a 50 mile ultra 7 Sept and am wondering if anyone can suggest an aid to assist me?
