After ditching organic brown miso paste from my diet (had a spoonful in my lunch) I found the cramps/tenderness in my hamstrings disappeared. I think the high sodium content of the product may have dehydrated the muscles. I wonder if other runners have had negative issues with miso?

Beetroot juice gives a boost - loads of articles online about its stamina enhancing qualities. I use that pre-packed organic beetroot from the supermarket to create various smoothies. Banana and beetroot with soya milk a particular favourite
