I'm really worried about not being able to run after, I run on average 10-12 marathons or ultras a year generally so want to know I can get back to it. Cast comes off tomorrow so I would have had y works with no weight bearing at all on crutches. Anyone had a similar experience and now a 2:45 marathon? The paperwork I have says I had a displaced distal fibula fracture.
Hi Chris I did it a few years back and am thinking about again for this year. I remember the weather being challenging on the first day and very muddy so all weather dependant as your on trails pretty much the whole way. The organisation and value for money is second to none so I'd definitely recommend it to anyone considering.
I've signed up for Bolton and currently have a carbon road bike. Was thinking about getting a time trail bike for the IM but can only really afford a second aluminium bike. I'm new to cycling so didn't know if the light weight carbon road bike would be slower than a heavier aluminium bike but with a more aerodynamic position? I've heard people talk about some rides being too technical for a TT bike but don't really know what that means.
I do know how quick the bike is depends how you quick you pedal!!
