And I'm the eden runner at the end of the race on the video jumping up and down going 'i got a PB'! I think I should stick to running, I don't appear to do jumping up and down very elegantly!
Thanks it was a great run! I enjoyed cruising past some knackered blokes on the last hill (who up until that point had been tanking along past me on the flat!)...
And apologies for anyone near to me as I hit the top of the hill and proclaimed 'warra b@stard!'... I am officially the Eden Runners Tourettes Representative!
Hi everyone! Well done to all who took part! I hobbled in at 4:49, smiling thru the pain lol. I called for the ambulance for the runner at mile 20 (maybe you Adrian?!) just wanted to know if they were ok (if it was Adrian then good to hear you are!). The killer hill seemed to go on forever, but then I got a 2nd wind in the last 4 miles and belted along in a Sis gel / Nuun / lucozade high. Now recovering on holiday near loch ness with fiancée on hand to pull me up and down stairs. Here's to next year!
Thanks Good King and Vicki! Its blummin freezing here in Carlisle this morning - should be an interesting trip over lol! Maybe I should have copied the mince pies and alcohol idea, but its the first run for my Cumbria Flood Appeal 12 in 12 challenge, so come rain, snow, apocalypse or heatwave (In the north?!?!) I'm doing it!
