Hi All,

I have a place for the marathon and wont be able to run as i've been out for the last 3 months with PF... is anyone looking for a place? I had forgot about it until receiving my race pack yesterday!

Please message me ASAP if interested as swaps need to be completed soon

Thanks,

Cara

I ran a 3:46 last October and thought I would struggle to improve on that... At the time I had high mileage, cross training, intervals and tempos in the plan. November I joined a club and started running with some guys much quicker than me, the result is 5 mins off my time in just 6 months on a course that was too long! I have no idea how, but joining the club has made a massive difference even though i've not changed my actual training - if anything i'm doing less speed work, but I guess i'm just operating out of my comfort zone more and have to keep going due to the fact i'm with a group rather than running alone... I am definitely sold on the benefits of a club!

Hi Ross - I was going to do that, but on the race photo site you can download a certificate, so think i'm going to print that out and send in instead!

3:42:06 for me... a new PB by over 4 mins. I think I measured the course as 26.6 by Garmin and I definitely remember miles 6 - 7 being around .25 longer, but i'd rather it was longer than short and it means I know I can do a little quicker

Yes the conditions were bad, but was pleased to see so many supporters out and the marshells were amazing! I wouldn't have liked to have been standing around in those conditions for 6+ hours! Thanks to everyone who turned up and supported/helped out on the day!

Just one question on the course length... Am I ok to use this as my GFA for London? I was just planning to print out the results and post it off, but now i'm a little concerned it wont count? I have a qualifier from Abingdon last year which I can use, but wanted this one as it's faster...

Thinking of a last minute entry to this race after a dissapointing half marathon today... is it guarenteed that you can enter on the day?
