3:15 may be too ambitious given my tendency to enjoy distance over quality. Last week saw 72 miles in the snow / ice, mostly a few 11.6m doubles to get to work.

All the quality speed work i did in summer has been dropped. I just enjoy steady running too much. Loving the hills right now.

The downside, is that my feet went numb for 4 days. I've probably run over a 1000 miles on my shoes. So won't be running again until my new shoes turn up

Best of luck to all of you.

With the 3m event this weekend i wonder how many people are now signed up to do it solo. In a moment of madness i was one of 'those' that did. It's quite local so really excited about getting to explore more of my backyard.

Best of luck and see you all there.

I just wondered if anyone knows of any 100 mile+ single day events or 24 hour+ races that are taking place this December here in the UK?

I've scoured the internet and come up with nothing. I'm seriously considering starting a one-off small unsupported 'challenge' event just to have the opportunity to try out some serious distance before Christmas. Anyone game?
