Hi Annika, ref shin splints, I had this problem last yr. I was overtraining for the amsterdam marathon and when it came to the race it blew up in my face. Pain was terrible and I struggled home and did terrible damage. In the end I had to Yale 3months complete rest from running. My advice is donut ignore the pain and. Do following: make sure u have correct ffootwear, ease of running (cycle, swim,gym) until pain completely goes. Don't overtrain ease into schedule. trust me u don't want to go through the pain barrier I had to. the good news is I did the above and have been bin jury free since jan. |

Great bit of running and bike work this week. Feeling very positive and the track session on Tuesday has already paid off with a great run today. my official MT starts 10th June although I'm picking it up now as I have a bike race in June and a Fun marathon in July which I will use as part of my MT. like the sound of the bus tour in berlin, I think I will do that on the Fri after expo. I'm not going to do the run on sat am, think I'm going to just relax and take it easy (may b do the bus tour and eat lots!!!) next run Tuesday, going to go for an hours rwait new route so should be good. |

To whoever is doing list. im staying at TRYP berlin mitte hotel. Apparently not far from start/finish. going to fly out early fri from Luton, sadly have to come back on. The Sunday night. |

Jase, hope ur injury gets better quick. I know how u feel as I had bad shin splints last oct. very painful and I had to listen to my body and completely rest before slow ease back. My advice for what its worth is rest and let the body heal. did my first track session of the season with running club tonight. OMG it was painfull. 200, 300, 400, 600, 700, 800, 700, 600, 500, 400,300,200 drills and I felt every bit I ran. Legs feeling tiered now so a rest day for me tomorrow (if u call a day at work rest day!!into my first 10k race in 2 weeks!!!! |
