Great sat AM run 8.5 m at 8:45 pace. Felt so comfortable really happy with running at moment. Summer break has definitely helped. Off to work soon on the late shift, I will b buzzing whilst everyone else will b miserable. The joys of being a runner
Hi all, great to read comments. Toby 3 I know what u mean about lost mo Jo. I had a great spring and completed an ultra beg of summer. Then had a lazy summer with max 2 runs per week and max length 6m. However got right back into it sept and now feel in great shape. Running 3times a week and gym min 2 times a week. Really mixing it up from bike at gym (spinning classes and bike on my own for hill training) to 6m runs easy/hard and LSR at weekends. May be an easy summer is what was needed. Really looking forward to Brighton next yr as I'm planning on celebrating my 50th yr by entering HM and marathons that I have not done before except my favourite which is Brighton (my 4th time)
I'm also hoping for 3:30 (prev best 3:33) if all goes ok.
Tillstar good luck with job hunting does it mean u have lots of spare time at moment for running?
Keep up the posts very motivated by them.
I have got Stevenage HM nov2nd not the most scenic however trying to fit in a HM race every month to see how MP is.
Thanks running rodent for letting me know about this site.
Im wanting to do this and was thinking as it will be my first comrades I should do it all through a sports tour company. I know this might b more expensive however all is done for you. Or do u think it is easy enough to do by myself. I dont have a clue about which hotel (are there ones near expo/start) and what flights are needed. I need to do a lot of research. What is qualifying time and how do u show u have done it.
I look forward to reading all posts and catching up with you all.
