I agree with everyone so far. This was a very badly organised marathon. Everyone knew the weather forecast and even if they were no prepaired for this they knew there were going to be 1,100 runners in the marathon and should have had at least 1 bottle at each of the water stations.
I had to stop at the 3 mile water station to wait while they brought a container out of pub so that we could get a drink. there was water at the 5.5 however this was the last water station which had water until i got to 25 miles which at this time was too late.
Also did anyone see any medical crews. I only seen one at 7 miles and that was the only one till 17 miles.
Also the madness of the start. I was near the back and could not hear what was going on so had to stand around for the 45 minutes in the start area with my water intake not helping the situation.
This is definately not a marathon I would be considering again without seeing great improvements first
I just an email from them to say that my pack could not be sent out and that I have to pick it up on the day. This is a real bummer as it means having to get their earlier as I will have to put chip on and cannot prepair properly as I cannot see the booklet and see this so called flat course.
