Do you over/under pronate? I was told that over/under pronation can be a big risk factor for sprained ankles. Surprisingly, overpronation is apparently worse for the outside ligament - which I've sprained many times... Orthotics seem to correct it for me (touch wood!). Colin |

Blimey, that was a little testing for my first 10K Great fun though. Can anyone point me at the location of the results/photos so I can see just how close to the back of the field I was? Colin |

Hi David, Like you I used to get lots of headaches, and I'm overwieght. It seemed to be down to a combination of dehydration and lack of salt/electrolyte for me. Plenty of electrolyte drinks and gels early in a run sorted me out fine. I can always tell when I've not had sufficient salts - quick chug of SiS Go! and I'm much better. (Tip: cheap electrolyte drink - half orange juice, half water, pinch of salt (sodium), pinch of LoSalt (potassium)). Colin |

Great to hear there is a noticeable improvement! Mine is similar - I can tell it is there immediately, but it doesn't get much worse and so the rest of the run feels fine. I did go too far the other night though and was in quite a bit of pain afterwards. I am now banned from running for a week by my physio, so be very careful about doing too much too soon. |
