Thanks E,M. I've done Chester a few years back, I dont think it was hilly but i do remember a bit of an uphill drag on the way back into the city. Its a bit close for me my legs are still sore from this Sunday.
I've decided to do the Autumn Shakesphere marathon in Nov, gives me a few weeks to put some decent miles in and try for a sub 3:10.
Organisers of the Nots race have sent my message to the chip timing company so we'll see what happens there.
I have emailed the organisers offering my garming data and an explaination of what i believe has happended. I havent heard anything in response yet, I had a fellow club mate running right next to me and he had exactly the same problem
Yes 100% sure, I was quite surprised too, the start was in waves and they walked the second wave up to the start line slowly then held us at the start for a while. I assume as the chip system had been started at the gun start, when the first wave went that it read my chip as soon as I was held at the start.
