alehouse - I remember it well - good work on the weight lost - I'm prob not quite as light as I was back then!
Bit of a minor disaster today - as I lazed on the couch last night, I noticed my left leg was, well, not sore exactly, but there was a dull ache and it felt weak. So headed out for an easy 10 today but got to the bottom of my drive, feeling really weak in the left knee. Walked for a bit and thought I could run it off so jogged slowly and it did seem to ease but then after 2.5 miles my leg felt like it was going to give way. I stopped and walked and then decided to jog very slowly home. I checked my knees when I got home and my left was significantly swollen. Bit of a bummer as I have a half marathon on Saturday. I hope it's just minor and maybe ibuprofen will sort it out - fingers crossed!
Hello all, good to read you again. Great running, chicksta and a very good training pace.
last week I was on holiday on the small island of Cumbrae, the usual! So did 3 x 10 mile runs and 1 x 20 miles. The 20 miler was excellent and I covered the last 6 miles in 43 mins. Flat route made all the difference.
Then went up to Glen Affric with some hillwalking buddies and did some Munros at the weekend. Back out for 7 steady miles today, 51:34, felt pretty good.
