Evening. Interesting club session tonight. 1000m rep in 3:30 then 3 x hill reps as a 'recovery'. Next km rep was 3:22, then 3 x hills again, followed by km in 3:24. I really liked the mix, it worked well.
Did 4 miles yesterday afternoon with one of my S6 students then off to Central AC training in the evening for 5 x 800m road reps (quite icy in places) in 2:40. Not a bad double after a recent return to proper training.
8 miles tonight, taking advantage of the light, 6 seconds less than an hour!
Birkmyre, my strongest memory of Tommy, aside from his running skill, was when he gave me a lift back to the ferry from a race. We went round a bend and the car spun out of control, no harm done though. Scary moment. What an athlete he was.
