I am a 36-year old female who has completed 9 marathons, including one at the North Pole, and have raised a lot of money for charity in the process. My most recent marathon was in Dublin on 27th October 2008, which I finished in 4:11.
London is a fantastic marathon with huge crowds, brilliant atmosphere and beautiful scenery. I could not imagine a more perfect location to run my 10th marathon.
I also believe that with the right personal training and nutritional information (as well as losing a few pounds), I could achieve sub 4-hours for my 10th marathon.
Please pick me and I can guarantee that I will be fully committed and follow the training plan to a tee.
Eleanor - I agree with AH that you should go to another reputable running shop and do not say about last diagnosis to see what they have to say. Did the person who analysed you in the shop look young or inexperienced.
AH - I'm fascinated about all your animals. Do you live on a farm or just accumulate a lot of animals. I grew up on a farm and still live in a house near it. At the minute, the fields around my house are full of sheep with new born lambs, young cattle and a few horses. Just love the countryside and being able to run in it.
Finally got my garden fence painted. Took me Friday evening and most of Saturday but it looks really well now. Also got all my weeding done. I actually have time to do stuff now that I dont have to do any LSR's and then recover after..... Haven't done any run yet but plan to start tomorrow evening. Was planning to do a 10k race next Sunday. Do you think it too soon to be racing again or would that be okay?
Had my first drinking session since marathon on Saturday night at a barbeque also. Pity I cant meet you guys on the 10th for a drink but would take too long travelling and would have to catch a flight but I'm sure you will enjoy it.
