This would be the first time I have gone to Olympic Distance and open water...

Lake slightly worries me...  are there lots of weeds and scary fish?  Mass start horrendous?

Bike - 8 times round the same route? Is it a nice route - flat and fast - looked like a nasty slow corner.

Same for the run?

Just don't want to fork out my cash on a dud race.  Thanks for your help.

seren nos...  I love the thinking BUT I am having to prevent my OH from running or cycling as she has a prolasped disc...  Think the turbo in the living room was more of a torment...

Really stupid question but where would it be most aerodynamic to mount a bike pump on a frame?

I know it is a daft question as in a race I will use C02 but just general cycling seemed a good idea to put a pump on...

I was thinking that mounting on the up tube behind the water bottle would be better than on the front of the frame...  I doubt it makes any really difference as my huge bulk will cancel out any theoretical gains.

Tricialitt your right she wasn't happy...  Hagakure..  I feel that if it stays in the living room you might be right, so back to the garage but with new motivation!!!

Being in the garage is a good place for me to come up with an excuse not to use it...  Cold, nothing to do but cycle...  So I decided I could move the turbo into my livingroom, have the TV on or a DVD as I cycle away...  But are there any risks that could get me killed by the wife?  Oil off the cassette on the carpet?

Does anyone / has anyone tried this.  If so any tips to prevent me from a sudden death from the turbo!
