Sticking head in after a few weeks absence. Sounds like there's been some fantastic running going on. Well done Weedy + Emmy. Great times!
Update on me is that I've discovered xc. Nothing like running through a load of mud and rivers to make you feel awesome! Bonus is that I'll never be the fastest runner but I am fairly tough and that counts for a lot In xc. Lol. 2 races down and 2 more to go.
weedy race list...can you tag me +RunRichRun for Longridge Pudding Run 8th Dec.
BM not dismissing the physical aspects of post-race recovery I would suggest that there is also a psychological aspect too. Post-race (esp major ones) I certainly suffer a "flatness." Training and looking forward to/obsessing about a major goal leave a void. After a few days of general fatigue and grumpiness I usually enter something else...the more ridiculously challenging the better...in an attempt to recreate the pre-race "high."
