No. Get a compeed plaster on them - provides extra cushioning and will absorb any liquid if they burst on the run.

You forgot to add that the humble Zucchini leads to world peace, improvements in deep space exploration, and will fix the large hadron collider at CERN. Truly a wonder product! I just hope in these times of economic distress that Chinese factories can still produce them at the same rate.

Morning all. Knee isn't great to be honest. Still limping a bit although not as bad as Monday when I could barely walk. Taking the entire week off exercise and doing the RICE routine before making a judgement call next week. I desperately wanted to do the marathon but I want to enjoy it rather than running the risk of hurting myself half way round and crawling to the end.

On a more positive note, after 4 weeks and 3 interviews, I got the promotion I went for so I now have 14 staff to distract me and the whole new world of management. Yikes. A fear a very steep learning curve is ahead of me.

Spinkle - take it easy and don't try to catch up those lost miles. You know it makes sense!

AM & AD - top work! Sounds like you're both doing brilliantly.

Gin - might well look for a book on running better. Might help me get back on my feet.

Flurillo - Fingers crossed on that knee and really looking forward to hearing about the race.

Laters all...

Sweatshop are really good - I'd highly recommend the Brierley Hill branch.

Evening all, glad to hear most of us are having a good weekend.

Spinkle - I feel your pain. I had a dreadful run on Thursday and 12 miles into today's 16 miler my left knee completely went. Could not run on it and now I'm in absolute agony. It was all going far too well!!! Really hope this isn't the same injury I had on my right knee last year.
