I found the race a nightmare this year, found that wall big time so maybe I was imagining things - but limped in at 4.14 . I only saw about 3 or 4 Lucozade stops, sometime there were signs and there was none but water - last year it was every other mile and I missed it [sickly tho it is]cos it is my staple running fluid.
Anyone else notice the scarcity - if I do it again I'll need to carry my own, as I was under fluided as I kept expecting it to be soon.
Phew I'm not the only one faced with this conumdrum then! Shall I shan't I, that stays with me all day.
Was told 10 days ago needed orthotics and that too late for FLM. Offered similar short term 'inserts' by podiatrist on the condition that they may work but I might find too strange to run in - explained may get strange pains for a bit thought.
Worn them around the office for 2 days and went a short run this morning, boy it was wierd. Don't know whether to perservere for a week or leave it and risk it this side of FLM as now in tapering.
My fear is will find in a week that can't tolerate and then will have to adapt back in last week.
Will see how it goes tomorrow. Let you know what I think after the weekend.
