I run (and walk) on the road after dark. I cannot see the pavement well enough to avoid trip hazards and puddles. But as others have said, the road is well illuminated.
I may have met one in Hertfordshire - it ran into bushes before I could get over my surprise and be sure it wasn't a giant dog - and I certainly have in Germany, and again, no problems.
I usually run the same distance again after my shoe uppers look like that. I've been on Wave Inspires since version 2, and the 10s have been by far the weakest.
I should have said, I have a pair and I only wear them in a race or when training on the track. They are very breezy in hot weather.
If you want to wear these, you probably need to have been born in 1952.
I doubt you'll find lighter-weight or more revealing shorts in the UK than Viga. Possibly their vests are similar.
