I usually run the same distance again after my shoe uppers look like that. I've been on Wave Inspires since version 2, and the 10s have been by far the weakest.
I should have said, I have a pair and I only wear them in a race or when training on the track. They are very breezy in hot weather.
If you want to wear these, you probably need to have been born in 1952.
I doubt you'll find lighter-weight or more revealing shorts in the UK than Viga. Possibly their vests are similar.
Or head for London and Hampstead Heath.
South of London I've found the parts of the North Downs Way I've been on lately to be astonishingly dry for the time of year.
You need to get an OS map and learn to read it. I'd suggest looking at a trip to Tring or Luton to find the Chilterns.
