428 finished, not sure how many started, the tannoy mentioned a figure around 600/700 entries. However you look at it that's pretty impressive.
Congrats to all, can only echo above thoughts on how tough it was and how good a job the organisers did.
Struggled badly and made usual mistake of being ambitious instead of reigning it in from the start given the weather. Two new experiences, firstly never felt that bad in a race and being so close to a Dnf, - Secondly, never experienced the friendliness of marshals,crowd and support of fellow runners in that way. A mutual cause and crazy weather clearly brings people together!
Thanks to HRR, will hopefully be back older, wiser and cooler.
