dibs that sounds very very tough!! Glad you seem to have solved the problem though
LMH, very cold eh, even I have a jumper on in the office and I never do! Enjoy the MSR or LSR
Well I did Denbies 10! I finished so so strong it was crazy I am not running that distance at all but am running every day! First 3 miles were totally up hill and it was described as 50% tarmac 50% trail with ice so I really wasn't sure what shoes to go with but opted for Road. I think the right choice for me. My feet went dead after so much climbing initially, think the achilles just tighten up when I am running up hill with no let up. As so as we descended the feet released and I was a happy bunny! Until the last climb which I can only describe as terrifying for me, I don't like heights so running on a narrow path that was clay and slippy with a drop on a rolling hillside to my right put me almost into panic mode but a kind guy spoke to me from behind saying take it slow you cant get any purchase so just walk. Did me a massive favour and I never did see who it was as I was too scared to look round! But a slim guy passed me when we came out of that part. We then had 2 miles down hill. The bit where I just flew, my OH met me part way up there and joined me but said you go on I cant keep this up!! Bizarre feeling. Anyway I spoke to the guy at the end and he said it wasn't him who spoke to me on the hill, different accent so I knew it wasn't,. Guardian angle lol!! I have no idea who it was.... My time was 1.58 slow but I am really happy as I know it was every bit as much as a half marathon with the climbing and change of terrain. About half way in my category.
