Shades - glad you enjoyed kettle bells.

Marathon Molly - well done and great to hear you had a great marathon!

I went for my planned 4 mile recovery run this morning and it was so strange running in silence and not having people shouting my name and cheering as I went past! First mile I felt like tigger, but then my legs went like lead as if they had just remembered Sunday ?? I cut short to 3 miles and will head out Sunday and see how they feel. It's quite nice not being a slave to the garmin and/or feeling guilty cutting a run short.

Have a good weekend everyone

Hey, feeling more mobile after Sunday. I've got my 4 mile recovery run tomorrow which I am really looking forward to! Still disappointed with time BUT loving the idea of training to get my sub 4:30!

The photos appeari on marathon foto are a great reminder of the bits of the day I seem to have totally forgot! I've just remembered doing YMCA around miles 19 ??

I'm contemplating joining my local running club - emailed them last night to make sure I would 'fit' I.e. not be the only slow coach and waiting to hear. Have a half in September where the plan is to beat my PB of 2:02.

Wow, Brighton is expensive!

Hope everyone is well xx

Morning, just popping in before jumping (crawling) onto train back to Edinburgh. Firstly huge thanks to Shades for the great training plan, I would really recommend it; next thanks to everyone who posts on the board, your chats and support have been great!

Well yesterday I finished 5 minutes slower than my first marathon in Edinburgh in 2009, in 4:45:31, however I definitely went off too fast for first 10 miles even though I kept telling myself to slow down! However I'm not beating myself too much as I got there in the end and had a great day - course was busy but crowds were amazing!

Back and hips sore this morning but I think a lot of that is having had a baby 9 months ago and my core not being strong enough!! Already planning some Pilates or yoga while training for marathon no 3 ??. Yes, I'm going to do it all again, but probably not till next year as think husband and kids deserve to see me a bit earlier on a sunday! Half marathon booked for September so I'll be looking for PB there.

Once again thanks for support and well done to everyone in the last few weeks and good luck to those still to come!

Hi Shades, feeling good and very excited! Only one day left of work till 30th April, woo hoo! All I'm doing is thinking marathon marathon marathon - even when in meetings, I'm not hearing much except my brain going over pace, travel, expo on a loop!

I'm number 44140, starting in the red pen
