Good question Darren, I suspect you have something similar to me. I too have pain on pointing my toes but deeper into the back of ankle than achilles. Pain is particularly bad if I point toes and push the base of my heel into the joint. I'm undergoing sports massage to loosen my calf muscles and physio to resolve the problem(laser/infrared and acupuncture). Nothing seems to be working though. The physio thinks it's a compressed bursor in my ankle but does anyone else have any ideas??
I have owned my new toy for 3 weeks now and generally think it's flawed but still incredible. The GPS is incredibly accurate when not running under trees and the heart rate monitor has been incredibly consistent. Until today :0(
I just completed the Eastleigh 10K or 10.12k according to my 301. However, I could only get a heart rate reading for about 2 minutes at the start of the run. Either I went off the scale (unlikely), the heart rate sender has packe up (unthinkable) or the battery has packed up after 30 hours of use (unimpressed).
I'm off to buy another battery tommorrow. Has anyone else had similar experience with the HRM?
where did you get your 301 from? I'm looking for a UK retailer as I understand a shipment is due in any day now.
Unfortunately Heartratemonitors.co.uk website today has gone from 'on order, due in mid february' to 'out of stock again, next order due in March'
RATS! These are in demand. guess I better bite the bullet and pre-order
Another point. Has anybody tried loading their routes/waypoints to map software or vice versa? A friend does it with her garmin etrex and it's just the coolest thing!
