I think half the battle is getting the eating right. I stuffed my face on the Downs Challenge and drank 4 liters of water as well as drinking squash at the check points. I was still running strong at the end!

Ran the Malborough Downs Challenge at the weekend (30miles) and I felt great. Turns out my body is better being fueled by bananas, jaffa cakes and jelly babies rather than energy gels! Finished in 56th with a time of 5hrs 36minutes, sooo much different compared to the Born to Run when I blew up at 13 miles and slogged out the remaining 27.

Can't wait for The Wall, trainers will be back on tomorrow morning for a nice run along the Kent coast

When I got dumped by my gf I found myself with loads of time on my hands, decided to get back into a bit of fitness. Looked at marathons and thought the looked too easy so signed up to the London to Brighton, the rest is history.
