Having just signed up for the Sussex Border Path 52 miler in October, I am on the hunt for training advice and/or fellow entrants for this, my first ultra! I have run several marathons over the past few years and have recently completed the London ultra duathlon - then felt I needed a new challenge. I know it's a long time until the event but any tips on long term preparation would be much appreciated! Currently running around 30m per week, but about to ramp it up as I'm aiming for sub 3.15 at Brighton marathon in April.

Thanks very much for your response. Looks like you have done this one in the past - do you think it would be a good entry into endurance running? I have run several marathons in the past couple of years but am looking for a bit more of a challenge, as I sadly hit 40 next year   Ihave emailed the organisers and will keep you posted.

Just wondering if anyone knows whether this is definitely going ahead in 2012.?! I know it's only November but if I'm going to enter this, I will need a LOT of preparation. Can't see anything on the organisers website relating to next year's race so any further info/advice would be much appreciated!

Anyone considering doing this one? Looking to do a biggie next year as I sadly hit 40  , but have only run marathon distance up to now. Obviously looks a bit ambitious but I reckon it could be worth a years hard work??!!

Just signed up for this as can't make the usual Audi 10k. Does anyone know anything about this race?I'm guessing it could be a new one as there are no reviews. It looks like good value and it's always good to support a new event so thought I'd give it a try. Details don't get emailed until a few days before so if anyone has any more info, please share!!!
