Unfortunately I don't have the time to increase my mid-week runs, so I can only increase distance at weekends. It makes sense just to up the percentage distance of the long run, rather than increase the distance using a percentage of the weekly milage.
So assuming my two mid week runs stay at 10k, my Sat or Sun runs will be:-
Week 1 - 12.65k
Week 2 - 13.9k
Week 3 - 15.5k
Week 4 - 16.8k
Week 5 - 18.5k
Week 6 - 20.5k (might as well round it up to 21k)
I'm not training for a race though, I've just fancied doing the distance for a while now, I've maintained decent fitness over the winter so I feel nows the time to give it a go!
I've tried to find this base layer on-line, but a whole load of variations come up when I type the full wording (taken from the mag) into Google! They range from £22 to £35, in the RW it states that the top is £37! Theres an 'impulse', a 'flight' and a few more......
Does anyone know where I can get the actual top recommended in RW from? Or if its not worth the money, any other Base Layers that would be of similar quality?
Well done Vik! Yeah agreed it was hot! The course doesn't lend itself to a good time though I thought, as its quite narrow and uneven under foot. Hope you survived the traffic after the race? I think there was a road accident outside the car entrance to Bushy Park (Lion House Hotel?).
