My Friend and I are considering this 10k. We are very slow fun runners who just run and gossip and would like to try and run a 10k. Would this race be OK for us? Do you think we would be embarressed or too slow for the event?
No it wasnt me - but I am nice too. I have two boys aged 7 and 9. I didnt get talking to anyone really - maybe I'm not nice after all! When I started all this running lark I started with a couple of friends who werent able to do the run on Sunday so I ran on my own. I have run on my own a couple of times in training (not sure I should call it training really) but I really missed them on Sunday. I needed to gossip with someone to take my mind off it all.
I didnt stop at the water station as I had my own with me but if I had I think we would have probably finished together!
I am still thinking about that Santa run in Marlow!
My time was 1hr11 and 54 seconds so we must have been pretty close to eachother! I was not expecting those hills - I had to walk at about 8 k for a little while (although my walking was probably quicker than my running). I never realised that undulating meant mountains! Do you think they changed the route due to the weather and perphaps the original route is not so bad?
Anyway well done to all who completed it. I am very pleased to have completed my first 10km. I have a very sore knee now which I think I should rest for a few days before I run again.
