I've got the trail shoes too. They are not the longest wearing but I paid £19 so I don't expect them to be. But their performance on the wet trails is fantastic and way exceeded my expectations in that department.
Ryan I have a polar Bluetooth HRM. I think it's the f7. I won it in a competition a few months ago, but I don't run with a phone and don't have a polar watch to link it to. It's yours if you want it? It's not in its packet but I promise I have never used it. If you want it I'd rather it go to someone who can use it rather than sit in a drawer for eternity. Let me know.
Thanks for replying Dave. I personally thought it was a great race. Beautiful and surprising course, thought the goody bags were no worse than some other races I have been to. I do admit slightly disappointed with the medal, not because that's what I run for, but more for the quite high entry price, I expected a bit more Bang for my buck. But thank you for the explanation. I will be back next year as the marshall's and cadets were smiling and encouraging, the course was great, and the ladies giving out the bananas and sweets at the end were so friendly!
So from me it's a well done and see you next year (with a few more toilets ????)
