Thanks Daniel, this is really helpful as this year will be my first time at this event. Looking forward to it although anticipating a run/walk strategy will be my best bet to reach the finish in one piece
Hello, this is home race and I'm very excited....love it! I think the Park and Ride on Wrexham Road would be a good bet. Total Fitness is a great gym, nice facilities, cafe etc and probably less than a mile from the finish. Interested to see how the new route pans out - a bit less of a climb at the finish maybe? Thanks guys, I think these type of runs have got me doing more race pace miles which can only be good for fitness and confidence. Interesting what Roadwarrior says about shorter and faster working better than longer and slower. I've gone for longer and slower in the past, so will wait to see how this plan turns out.
You're right about there being little time left for improvement Ja5onW. I've trained hard since January, but suffering from a crisis of confidence as race day approaches :-/
