I can see how that might be scary. It kind of puts my aching leg in to perspective. Fingers crossed I can do some light work by next week and take it from there. If there is one thing I've learned from everything I've read on this, its that its a lot better idea to avoid the tear in the first place than try and put it right.
Thanks for the support Michelle
Weekend starts here...as does my lying on the sofa!
Thanks for the info in the thread. I had quite a search before I posted my question to see if anybody had similar problems, but sometimes finding info in these forums is a bit of a needle in a haystack, and you need to be guided.
LL, did you do anything exercise wise during your lay off. I found even swimming hurt the leg. I guess I get obsessed that every day not doing something is another day lost in terms of fitness and a day closer to what I was when I first started. A bit stupid really, but thats runners for you I guess.
Things have been steadily better in the past couple of days than they were earlier in the week.. This weekend I'm going to a concerted 'put my feet up' so there won't be any excuss to agrevate the injury more. I see the osteopath on Tuesday, but I think the idea of Physio and ultrasound is a good one. Anything to aid recover more actively.
