Just spotted that KingDonng and Gazmanmeister are up to 7th and 8th places this morning , well done, brilliant running.
Thanks to KK for this great challenge, it has really helped get me out in all weathers to train. Before my highest monthly mileage was 71, with 365 for the whole year last year, I've now done 95miles this month and should get over the 100 mark tomorrow . If someone had told me before the start I would be doing that amount in a month I would have told them there was no way, but it goes to show what a bit of motivation can get you doing. Now have to think of a reason to keep me going in Feb and not go back to the CBA.
I only managed 4.36 this morning , really tired and legs aching, hoped it would wear off after a couple of miles but in the end turned back after 3 miles and took short cut home - probably due to last week being my highest ever week. I'll try again tomorrow as see how I go.
Looks like some fantastic mileage done over the weekend, we are catching them .
another +1 for KK's comments. I may be have low mileage but I'm heading for my highest ever monthly mileage and its really got me motivated to get out in the cold/ rain. The postman was kind enough to take my parcel back to the sorting office with him so I thought, well instead of walking down (or getting someone else to pick it up) I'd run - an extra 3.3 miles for team East on my rest day , I'd never have done that if it wasn't for this challenge. Shame after all this training it now looks like I won't be doing the Canterbury 10 on 30th Jan as planned as something else has come up on that day .
Just managed 7miles, I've never got so wet running before, if it wasn't for this challenge I would have just looked at the weather and decided not to bother, but couldn't let the team down so out I went .
