Hiya Cath!
I totally agree with what Daisy Dog has just said...and 4lbs equates to 1lb per week which is considered to be a very healthy and steady weight loss..and as you say, muscle will have a part to play.
You're eating an ave of 1430 cals a day which is also sounds about right. Remember, the lower you lose it, the easier it is to keep it off!

Wayhay! Well done Fiomac!!....only 6 days previous to yesterday you said you can't imagine doing anything longer than a 5k distance - running 10k is an incredible achievement...You must be so chuffed!
Fiona, were the pins and needles on the same side as the hip that's been hurting? It may be worth doing some hip rotation excercises before you go out for a run.
Well done again!

Hi all..can't belive I hadn't come across this thread before I saw Redheads post in the beginners section!
I'm 5.2" and was 12st 6lbs in January of this year..I've lost 2stone 4lbs so far with another 1stone 4lbs to go!
Running has definitely helped increase my metabolism and burned off the fat!
a big WELL DONE to all of you that have lost weight and increased their fitness levels - I think it's brilliant and maybe we can re-name this forum the now slim club once we've all achived our goals!
