Just got back in from N Wales. Bloody awful journey back (will never understand why theres not a decent rd link between S.Wales and North) not aided by weather which was cr*p just as well we were travelling back in convoy. We had a hectic two days and candle was burned at both ends in the name of team bonding and training school cat was overfed. Didn't go for a run but did have a walk around woods behind building we were staying in, think if I had run it would have extended the hangover Going out for run tomorrow morning have put out kit ready so there's no excuse am going to use new shoes - got lucky and won a pair in the Saucony comp!! Am well pleased.
CB hope inj is better soon - very brave man for taking ice baths
AJ - your cat is very handsome - looks like he was posing for camera!
Nic - hope your run tomorrow goes ok and your friend enjoys it.
Sorry if I've missed anything but am going to lurk off to bed with a packet of minstrels and cup of tea - am totally shattered. Had to discover the hard way that I'm not as able to cope with late night partying and vodka and all day spent between classrooms and practicals as I used to be!
Still awake - joys of nights - sleep pattern will be better in 2 days time. Went for run tonight it was great starting off a little cold but soon warmed up then it started to drizzle but luckily this was towards end of run so was glad to get inside and into a bath. Was a bit antisocial tonight so didnt go out with running group we had some bad news about a friend today and just wanted to get my head clear. Not too hard a run just out and back and am still being a chicken and avoiding hills at moment though I have three really great ones near me to have a go at!
Mick your morning run sounds lovely - I like the colder sunny mornings everything seems clean and new.
Osa - your run sounds great glad you enjoyedit. I was going to watch Dead Set but forgot, made OH sit through some of Most Haunted tonight - he's a total sceptic and gave up after a while and went to play guitar. After watching things like that I end up giving myself the willies and have to put lights on to go up stairs at least OH is home and not nights tonight! You'r not alone in being a woose!
Meglet - love heros too am a bit behind with a couple of episodes and playing catch up now but have really enjoyed series from the start.
Going to try and get some sleep now though will probably end up lurking on here for a while before going off.
Meglet - well done on run - sounds like 10k will be no problem.
Mark - good luck for Sunday.
Nic - the swimming threat with tngm was still ongoing last time I looked - I did feel sorry for her at start but now think she's just doing it for attention and needs to grow up. But it's still entertaining to read now and again.
Not been on here much but have been catching up after work - managing to keep running/plodding up - have a lot of work commitments on at moment so I'm finding it a very welcome stress relief. Have the joy of going up to Rhyl for 3 days for a training course in 2wks - been looking on Google Earth and have already got a route planned!
Mick and Pidge - glad to hear your dogs are better
Nathan - Aldis are having running stuff in on 18th of this month - its cheap and does the job (also try lidil ) - otherwise wiggle is excellent - but for your shoes go to a shop and have your gait measured as your shoes will be the most important thing you'll get. Start Fitness is also very good.
Meget - the run you did must have been amazing I think I would have been too busy looking at the scenery (got Lost in Austin for birthday as I'd missed the series and really enjoyed it - got to admit the lake scene was better than Colin Firths - never thought I'd say that) Hope the cat's better
C.B. - sorry to hear first day was cr*p - perhaps it'll get better?
Got my Santa suit in post today ready for 5k in December - scared the cats with the beard - think i'm going to overheat with all that on though - did 5k the other night in 40min which is my best so far.
Jackie - you have to make sure you have calibrated the Nike + - I had the same problem with mine it used to be out slightly. It can get annoying after a while but mine is only a bit out so I just go that bit extra. Have gone for a Garmin 305 now and it's brilliant.
