Thanks Sluggie - it really is good at the moment to be able to enjoy going out again. I really didn't know if I would ever be able to again. I put this down to Yums. She put me in touch with her friend who helped me by doing Neuro Linguistic Programming (I think that's how it's spelt) and it't been amazing. Its taken a year to get this far and I still have things I can't manage yet but I feel I am going in the right direction. I have hope for the future again and can make some plans, which is in itself a delight and not to be taken for granted.
Nicky - well done for persevering with the swimming. Its great to hear you are still able to keep fit and healthy even through all that and having the little noos to run around after,.
Far-Far - Well done. Terrific running . Another one in two weeks should be easy peasy for you to do
We have taken Ozzy to the woods this morning and taken some photos. It was such a lovely day. Then I cleaned out the greenhouse this afternoon. Now I am pooped. But it feels good.
And I went to the doctor about my manky toenail, caused by a poorly fitting shoe, which used to fit ok 4 years ago. OK , yes I should replace them but I really can't afford to right now and they haven't had that much wear as I have been off running and sick for so long. A tube of antibiotic cream should make it smell a lot better. - Hope no one is eating dinner!!
I have recorded the marathon and recording Paris-Roubaix as well. So I have spent the day popping in and out of the sunshine. A walk here, a plod there. 2 walks accompanied by Ozzy and 2 on my own. Magic!!
I ran London a few years ago and loved every minute of it. Now I enjoy watching it and hearing everyone elses tales of how it went. I may do a marathon again one day, if I can get to walking that far. I don't think I will be running one again but would be quite satisfied with a power walk. Something a little more scenic I think . Its lovely to dream
