Podds - I recognise one or two of the motley crew in the picture. If I am not mistaken, that was Windsor Half 2005 or 2006.
Holly has been in A & E because of severe pain again today. The doctor found on an x ray, a pocket of air above the diaphram. He rang the surgeon, who said this couldn't possibly be, prescribed some stomach lining medication and sent her home again. Grrrr!!!
Is Nogs gone away ? Did I miss his departure to snowy places? Sorry if I did.
I have been told that there will be snow here next week. Playtime!!
LOL Meldy. I do love hearing about Murph's exploits. Such a character. And that move does sound like just the right thing.
Well parkrunned Spence. Hopefully no heartattack is imminent.
I am going to AA tonight. A freezing hall on a freezing night but its my medicine and I do get such a lot from it.
((((((Sluggie))))))) Holly had that decision to make recently for her gall bladder/bile duct operation. She could have had it done by keyhole at Southampton with a shorter waiting list but she was too ill to travel there and back on the ferry. Or she could have it done on IOWight at smaller hospital but with open surgery as no facilities for keyhole and longer waiting time but only 10 minutes from home. She opted for IOW hospital, now has had 6 weeks off work recovering from open surgery, 2 more weeks off then phased return and is I went over there for 2 weeks to help her after the op. She still has pain as before op so that is being investigated.
As for work, I was a resturanteur./chef for a few years, with lots of other jobs before that. I am at the moment medically unfit to work due to suffering from ME but things are looking better . Oh yes
The sun has shone here today. And now the wind has dropped. Things are very strange. And sooooooooo good not to hear that howling noise outside.
Meldy - I cleared out several bags of clothes at the beginning of last year. I have already filled the spaces left with yet more and more and am full to overflowing again now Well done you.
Hi to Chuggs . I imagine your weather must be pretty much ok if you were cycling today.
Daffs - I take Levothyroxine too. I hope your rash is easily cleared up and you get a ring free boobie. I have also had ringworm in the past. Its not a worm, by the way and its not harmful.
Time for a sit down now.
DL - I laughed at your mouse sprint but have done the same here in the past. The cats we have now don't often bring them back alive though. Poor mousies.
Hello to everyone I have missed out . Tooo much to remember. xx
We have had a stroll along the beach this morning (the tide was out) which was very nice. There are diggers and dumpers redistributing the sand which has piled up against the seawalls . There was one onlooker who had decided it was his job to direct operations. I think the dumper driver was being very patient.
I am not going to join in with the Janathons as its a bit too regimented for me at the moment. I can't plan that far ahead and have to take each day as I find it, but I am going to do what I can and am enjoying it so far.
Snaily - your day sounds exciting. At least its not boring.
It would be projectile vomiting if it were to reach Amandax.
And after having that particular virus, I never want to be near it again.
I hope the rash is nothing to worry about Daffs.
Bah! to tax returns. I had to do them for a few years and stressed so much about getting it done each time. I don't know why really. But its nice not to have that at the moment.
Well cycled Nogs. I admire your determination to get out in this weather. I have seen a few cyclists today and decided that I will get my bike out of storage. When the sun shines. When its not windy. When its warmer.
