Me and the better half don't have a car. This means a bike commute to work every day and twice on a Thursday as I work a split shift. And I do mean I commute 7 days a week. If I want a day off from the bike, it means a run in and then bus home. A simple 20 mins bike turns into a hour commute home. In other words....embrace the not having a car and use all the time you need to go from a to b as an opportunity to get in extra training. Then include the cost of highering a car or offering to pay for the petrol to the drivers for an event as part of the cost of enjoying the event entered.
I'm sure that if you ask every one to list the events they are doing at the club, most would be happy to have you help out with the cost of there transport.
