I have been using Nike+ for a couple of years, using my Ipod and a footpod. I find it accurate enough for my purposes and convenient. However, recently I am finding it impossible to log in to the site. They advised me to clear the cache and cookies, which I did, and this worked for all of 10 days. Now the problem has recurred and I am really not willing to clear my cache and cookies, loosing all my saved passwords in the process, one more time.

Am seriously thinking of switching to Garmin, especially as they have a new cheapo version coming out which looks like it will do me just fine...

Anyone had any experience of this?

I have low blood pressure too and also have issues with my blood sugar - if I don't eat carefully I get the shakes. Running in the morning doesn't really work for me as I have to get in a decent breakfast involving a fair bit of protein. Once I've done that and set a solid base for the day, I can go running maybe 2 hours later, but I have to digest first.

Hmm. I ended up with a nasty pressure sore from doing that prior to a half marathon. The compeed adds a lot of bulk and therefore pressure. That being said, I don't know what the answer is and if anyone has any good suggestions I'm all ears.

Thanks Bikermouse. I went for a v short run today and everything seems to be in working order, although I am tired..

Um.. what's a stride? I'm sure this is a stupid question, but would love to know the answer...

Thanks a million. I am just aiming to get around, no land speed records will be broken especially as this course is  reputed to be tough. Am a lot better today so will go for a short experimental trot tomorrow, and then a decent 12 or 14 on thursday - then taper off.
