Hi, i also just started running, but i started in a running club and they do set a good pace and get you into it, also showing the appropriate strecthes to do if you do ache so may help.

and juanaH i agree it is nice to be outside running my yourself, i think its the best time to think , but with people too is fun, maybe you should go out with some people, lol, if you are in the area i'll take you out with my friends, hee hee

yes, i guess most are,

maybe a running partner? i know that if i had a running partner it would make me get myself out of bed at 6am just because i wouldn't want to let them down.

maybe a good idea for me, it would be a good start to the day, if only i could do it, i think i like my sleep too much in the mornings

Hi Chris,

i am a newbie to this running world and did have the same problem as you, actually finding the motivation to go, especially when it is either wet or cold. finding a group to run with has helped me, maybe you should see if there are any runners in your area and see if that helps.

i've only been for a coiple of runs, the last one was about 2.5 miles in 30 mins but was in a group doing a bit of walking in between. is it unrealistic to think i can do the half marathon in october?
