OK guys, here we go. I have time for 30-35 mins on the treadmill during my lunch break so I thought once a week I'd go for some interval training.
I started of doing 3mins @ target 5K pace off 2 jog x 5.
Now got to 3 x 7 mins off 1.
Question is where to go from here while still fitting it in.
do I a) Increase pace of interval. b)increase pace of recovery to increase the overall intensity. c)Try and remove one of the recovery intervals or

reduce to 30 seconds. or d) Well I'll leave that up to you (All suggestions welcome)

Thanks

Hi Guys,

I am looking for a pair of durable support road shoes.  I have heard that carbon rubber is the most durable. I am quite a heavy runner and can wear out a blown rubber outsole in about 60 - 70 miles.  Any suggestions ?

I did this and as you say the pre-race entertainment etc was very good, however I think there were a few issues that would need to be addressed in future, most could be resolved with start pens based on predicted times though.  I found I spent most of the of the first part of the course, dodging and weaving through people and I'm not particularly fast, and the paths through Mobray Park were too narrow.  Like I say most of this could be sorted with start pens.  As a first time event though It went quite well, love the Tech TeeShirt  and the medal is nice.  I will always come back for this event though as it is my home city, don't live there now like, but like to support it.

No mate, Chester.

For my first marathon I looked at two within a shortish traveling distance, though we are staying over, Chester on the 9th or Nottingham the week before.

Chose Chester as the course profile is very flat and also I didn't want one with a Half incorperated.   Too much temptation to turn off with the halfers.  Plus the city is really nice and the date 09/10/11 is cool....

Small things eh...

Loch Ness does look nice though.  Maybe next year if I manage this one.
