Looks like Nice is going to be great, sorry I can't be there.
A word of warning for those of you flying easyjet, I've flown with them before and was under the impression that as long as the bike was under 23kg all was good. However after doing Challenge Almere-Amsterdam this year I was checking my bike and luggage back to the UK, bike 23kg, bag 19kg. I was told I was 10kg over weight and would have to pay 80euros!
It turns out that the bike buys you another 12kg of weight allowance only so that your luggage and bike combined can weigh no more than 32kg, after that you get stiffed. This had never happened to me before and I argued the toss at the airport but to no avail. On getting back and looking at the website it's true 32kg max, all in.
I hope Nice warm and sunny so that other than race gear you only need pirate thongs and sunglasses.
I think the fact that Chrissie Wellington would always go to the finish line to cheer the last competitor home and Chris McCormack argued with the organisers of IM Frankfurt so Mouse could get a medal and T-shirt shows that the pros care about us.
Cut off times at IM are about 2x the winning time, I'd like to see them pack up at the London marathon after 4 hours 20 mins.
