Aww really sorry to hear that Mr F  that's bad luck, hope you're ok now and well done getting that far. That was a hard checkpoint to leave I found, with the amazing fire and the chairs around it and everything ... You'll just have to do it next year won't you?  No I was alone and I think we ran together early-ish and compared notes about how dreadful the Thunder Run race was - but that could have been someone else, it is a bit of a blur to me too, I ran briefly with a few people and am still a bit sleep deprived.

Yes going up and down stairs hurts a bit  Loved it, did it in 24 having left at 10am (but not sub-24 so got the finisher medal ... ). Really great race, organisation, checkpoints, everything - apart from the weather  Didn't like the veerrrry heavy showers and then a veerrry long shower until 9pm much, but other than that, a really great event

I must have run with Mr F for a while on Saturday, at least didn't talk to anyone else who broke their ankle at 40 miles in 2009 anyway, how did you get on Mr F? And Andrew Smith - I think we chatted too before the half way checkpoint, although a few people were suffering with hamstrong probs - how did you go?

Thanks Lingster, how very odd that we don't have it although I'm told it has been sent out to all entrants... curiouser and curiouser

But anyway, how would you rate it for navigation difficulty? I've heard getting lost is the norm for this race ...?

I am entered for this but am running out of time to check out the route before the race which is a bit of a worry. The organisers tell me that the newsletter with the route has already been sent out to everyone ... I haven't got it myself - anyone else have the route details yet?
