Well given the choice of options I'm hoping a bit of both. I'm running London in April and the Ultra is end of May. Not sure what plan to follow. Also the terrain for the Ultra is really steep, rough, goat tracks and will be hot! It's a big challenge. Any help, advice, knowledge on training, diet, hydration.....! It's a whole new experience even though I've been running marathons since the early '80's.
Great to see you and your good wife Dean and congratulations on a superb performance! Agree with drips of water supplied in cups, very frustrating, also I found it quite humid but I suppose the morph suit didn't help out. I finished in 4.11. So I was pleased I beat Londons time ( in suit ) by 3 mins. Also amazingly I saw Emma H or she saw me first, at the time I was doing my dolly steps, damn legs lol. Well done Emma. I think you looked great in that union jack top and then zoomed past me. Sorry didn't see you all for the photo but I might have stood out a bit!, We had a look around but must have miss read where to meet up! Oh well I finished the race and was promptly sick, not normal for me but taking strong anti biotics for chest and sinus infection plus my normal med's add that horrid AA drink which was in a blasted water cup! I promptly spat it out, looked funny out of the mask! We had a good evening and my wife enjoyed a brief walk around the sights but I won't be entering next years race. My next one is London 2014. In the Morph suit? Probably!
