Well done folks! some great stories, gritty runs and some amazingly fast folk!

I had a great day, started off slightly slower than expected even though was in the 4 hour folk, but went with it.  Managed to run all the way to just after the 22 mile mark, then hit that wall thing!  Even though I walked wee bits every now and then from there to the finish still managed a negative split by a minute! To finish in 4.07.47   A PB by 40 minutes!

Also good to meet Digger on the way round (what were the chances of that! LOL)

Oh the preparations are well under way and last runs are pretty much done!

Was out for a 4 1/2 miler tonight in perfect conditions.  Decided to do it just about marathon pace and felt very comfertable which is encouraging

Now Thursday, Friday off,  a very light 2 miles Saturday morning ,  then take my time going up to inverness Saturday via the marathon route.

Safe trip everyone!

FFB - Nice one on the mental prep and that schedule for next year sounds impressive! Should really be a grand slam of Scottish marathons plus an ultra thrown in!  good luck

The top of my thigh has had a niggle all week which I'm icing every night. But foretunatley it doesn't appear to be affecting my running, as it is only niggly during the day (maybe just paranoia, lol or in the mind). But in genral I have been really springy and getting ridicously excited, I just wonder what state I'll be in next week! lol

Tempted to go for 3.45 but will start with the 9min/miles and take it from there.
