Well done guys. Amazing times and achievement. I've got out for a 7miles Sunday morning, then a bit of xtraining n yoga last night, then a quick 4m this morning... actually starting to feel good for the first time since. Def tiredness in the body though, i'm sure i won't be right for another few weeks.
I've got a bit of post race blues too, everything has built up to this and now it's not there... better book something soon Holiday in a couple of weeks will help that haha!
I've got no desire to go back at this stage... but who knows in the future.
Sorry to hear that guys. Live to fight another day though!! Yeah your Sunday def sounds more appealing than what I went thro Tigerspaw!
I'm still in a lot of pain now and got that post race blues of thinking was it worth it and why I've done this to my body...
Hi Geeem, it was epic, not all in a good way either. But mainly good.
I had to reasses the schedule when both my ankles went and just resorted to a slow walk, couldn't even raise a run across the finish line. But my new target of sub 40hrs was something to gun for.
I was pretty much bang on my schedule of 10hrs for 50, and 24hrs for 100.
Passed out at 139 at my last crew point. And woke up, them hobbled the last 6miles in about 2hrs...
What an epic race tho. So friendly and a great buzz.
