Hi im glad this post is fairly recent........i run 4 times a week some times 5 and i have my next race next sunday..chelmsford 10k.

But last monday eve aches hit  my whole body...i have no cold or sore throut at all. The next day didnt feel to bad at all, went about s normal but did have a feeling off tightness in my chest.

Wed ran 5 miles and by eve had a slight cough also.Come thurs i felt unwell again pain in my chest which was worse when i coughed and that eve i was achy again. The g.p fri morn listened to my chest and said it was (acute bronchtis) chest infection on left side.

His put me on antibiotics which every where i read says this doesnt do anything as chest infection is viral!!! apart from my chest being sore a slight cough i feel pretty ok and will go about as normal. Apart from running.

So would you say its ok to run monday if i still fell ok or have i got to wait till this compleatly goes?

My frame off mind will not want to do the race if i cant run !! thanks guys
