Will there be enough small tech T shirts? I normally finish mid field in races and there are never any small left at races, so end up polishing my bike with the large cotton ones.

Mind you the last few small T shirts I have had could be worn as dresses. To be honest I like the option of opting out of T shirts and paying a quid or two less, rather than getting a T shirt I can never wear.

Sorry rant over and not directed specifically at this race. Its a great race with a lovely friendly atmosphere. Bring on the HILL!

Hi, I have tibial torsion (bones in the lower leg are twisted). This means that my feet are angled out at 50 degrees (normal person under 20 degrees). As a result I have a very unusual (amusing) running gait. Podiatrist says I run from my hips to power my legs forward rather than flexing my knees as much as a "normal" person.

I have orthotics for comfort, but he says they wont help with the problem or improve my running gait. He was surprised to find out I am a runner and have just run a half marathon (1hour 47).

Anyhow, does anyone have any experience of this, can you recommend footwear? I currently run in Ascics gel cumulus (neutral due to orthotics). Should I ditch the orthotics/try different trainers?

I have a pair of Inov8's for off road running, no orthotics in them and cope fine.

Thanks

I will be at the back somewhere as well.
Never done a fell race before, and this will be be my longest race distance too /

Paul; I was at Knypersley 5 today too. First time, what a lovely race. Those steps were a bit of a pull. Glad the heavy rain stopped whilst we raced. Also very glad I got myself a pair of fell running shoes beforehand, worked amazingly well.

See you all at Cloud 9

I am going too, but doubt I will challenge anyone's time as I have never raced more than a 10k before.

Good race then eh?
