Training for a middle distance tri, I slimmed down from 14.10st to above, my cycling is faster as my running is, I run to my heart rate, basically between 150bpm to 165bpm, which equates to 8.30 min miles Upper bpm, so as the title says what makes you faster?
I have only ever run in Asics so will use the 16's for a couple of months, then have a look around for some replacements. If the 15's are any thing to go by the top section will start to stretch about 3 months in so have time ponder.
I've used Asics Cumulus for the last 7 years apart from a quick foray into the Nimbus that didn't go well, the nimbus had too much cushioning resulting in my foot moving around in the shoe and causing blistering of my toes. The Cumulus used to fit perfectly but on the last two models they have increased the size of the toes section to such an extent I think they are designed for a hobbit!
I am a size 9 so always go up half a size but in the new cumulus, I've had to to go up to a 10 to stop my toes butting against the front of the shoe which obviously makes the toe section seem even bigger!
So can some one recommend an equivalent to the Cumulus ie Neutral shoe with not too much cushioning?
The place I usually buy my shoes from tried to sell my some Mizuno Wave Riders are these a similar shoe?
I have only ever used Asics but feel their sizing has gone wrong for me so need to move on, any help would be appreciated.
